Gearing Up for Greatness

Kindergarten can be a difficult transition, which is why Kindergarten Gear Up was created. It is a 10-lesson customizable curriculum for public libraries that prepares kids and caregivers with the skills needed for kindergarten.

The San Diego County Library enlisted Jackrabbit to help bring this new-to-the-world program to life, and we embraced the abundant creative freedom such a project offered. From the website and logo to producing videos and collateral–each aspect was infused with excitement and character.

Logo Design

Crafting a vibrant, joyful logo that was bursting with color was a fun initial task for the team to take on! The end product was a perfect fit for Kindergarten Gear Up’s playful nature while still igniting the curiosity of the program’s learning journey.

Crafting a Digital Playground

From the beginning, we knew a significant focus of the site was the huge variety of carefully curated activities. The Activities landing page offers a seamless user experience with its array of filtering options, allowing visitors to effortlessly discover activities tailored to their preferences. This gives users the freedom to determine which activities will fit their lesson, library, and program best.

Lights, Camera, Learn!

Jackrabbit spearheaded the creation of a comprehensive video resource hub for Kindergarten Gear Up, featuring engaging demonstrations, focus activities, and lively songs. From handpicking the perfect actor to orchestrating in-house filming, we handled the project from inception to completion for the San Diego County Library team.
