Winners of our Carrots for a Cause contest, Good Sports has been a loyal client ever since.
Storytelling Through Visual Design
Good Sports is a nonprofit that drives equitable access in youth sports and physical activity, by supporting children in high-need communities to achieve their greatest potential. Jackrabbit’s long-standing relationship with the organization began in 2011, and they are now our biggest pro-bono client with all rabbits serving as fans of the cause. In addition to website work, Jackrabbit has redesigned the Good Sports logo and worked through a complete branding refresh across all of their marketing materials. The trust Good Sports has placed in us with this work has allowed us to play a big role in their success story.
Having started with a big website design and development project after they won our Carrots for a Cause contest, we’ve since redesigned the original site and added new elements throughout the years. The website is a crucial hub of information for Good Sports and their various audiences. It is imperative that someone coming to the site can quickly access information on how to support the cause, learn how to apply for equipment, and see the latest happenings.
The Equip-A-Kid platform is a virtual equipment drive where everyone is encouraged to contribute to the cause. The interactive tool allows users to select a sport and add exactly what equipment they want their money to go towards. The illustrative design and thoughtful user experience allow people to truly get a sense of what they’re giving, making it feel more real and impactful.
Our redesign of the Good Sports logo was the logical next step for this growing organization and their ambitious plans for the future. The new design has a memorable sports ball icon to symbolize the variety of athletics and gear that children are given access to because of Good Sports. The yin-yang effect of the logo is dynamic, supporting the idea of a collaborative organization working with the community and their persevering energy toward their mission.

Brand Guidelines
Each display of the Good Sports visual identity presents an opportunity to strengthen the brand image in the minds of its audiences. The purpose of developing official brand guidelines is to provide the client with tools to maintain the integrity of the brand across all communications. It will ensure the brand identity is strong for years to come. The guide even includes information on additional Good Sports program logos and brand application examples—all materials that Jackrabbit has designed over the years.

Annual Reports
On an annual basis, Good Sports puts together content for a report showing the impact of the organization. It also provides specific information around finances and other updates to keep their audience in the loop. We then turn it into a visually appealing, easy to read annual report. We like to use recent photography that gets across the past year and infuse the report with highlights and accomplishments.
Advertising Campaigns
One of our favorite ad campaigns was the one around how EXPENSIVE sports are, and why kids need organizations like Good Sports to be able to play. We started with a photo shoot in our studio, photographing a kid for each sport on a white seamless background with the various equipment for their sport. This allowed us to create ads that highlighted the cost of each item, and get across the vital point that cost is often prohibitive from kids reaping the benefits of sports. The end result was an advertising campaign that got right to the point.
Event Branding & Marketing
Events are a significant source of fundraising for Good Sports. They typically have a main event in Boston and Chicago, in addition to smaller events thrown in various markets across the United States. For each, it’s important to brand the event in a way that immediately conveys the mission and vibe, encouraging sponsors and attendees alike.
Good Sports Videos and Animations
Good Sports Animation: Why Sports?
Sports aren’t just “nice to have”—they are a game-changer. Participation improves self-esteem in kids, creates leaders, and drives better academic performance. Getting this message out into the world was important to the mission of the organization. Jackrabbit created this animated video from concept to completion to drive home the key points of why sports are important and how to get involved with Good Sports.
Good Sports PSA Video
Jackrabbit created this 30-second video PSA video to share the mission of Good Sports and encourage people to support and get involved with the organization.
Infographics with Impact
Good Sports takes full advantage of the power of custom infographics designed by Jackrabbit in order to communicate key stats related to the nonprofit’s goals, progress, and impact.
